Michael Pflug
Region 10 ESC Program Coordinator
Michael Pflug received his bachelor's degree and a master’s degree in education from the University of Texas at Arlington. Michael has been in education for 11 years and has served urban and suburban schools districts of varying size. He was the K-12 STEAM Curriculum Coordinator for Prosper ISD and has taught all levels of middle school science/engineering. He has been with Region 10 Education Service Center for over a one year where, as CTE Grants Consultant, he manages the Texas Regional Pathways Network grants totaling over 1 million dollars in active grants. As CTE Grants Consultant, Michael assists local education agencies in applying for grant from the Texas Education Agency, the Texas Workforce Commission, and the Higher Education Coordinating Board. Michael has presented at the National Science Teachers Association Conference on Science Education, the Science Teachers Association of Texas, and has been a guest speaker at the University of Texas at Arlington’s middle level education program. Most recently Michael co-presented with renowned author and speaker Jay McTighe on Educating for Authentic Performance on the Education Week webinar series.
